In celebration of the 19th edition of Contemporary Istanbul, Wizard Gallery is delighted to present a solo exhibition by Attila Szűcs (Miskolc, 1967). We warmly invite you to visit us at Stand B1-19, where we will be featuring a selection of eight recent paintings by the artist, created between 2023 and 2024.
In these works, a central theme of Szűcs’ oeuvre emerges: a profound sense of longing and a search for meaning in a world that often feels devoid of it. His subjects—whether human figures, floral motifs, or symbolic skulls—are imbued with an eerie, almost haunting quality that delves into the darkest aspects of human existence. This is not a superficial darkness but a deep, existential one that probes the core of what it means to be alive in an age where digital realities and ecological crises collide.
